I am Dr. Michelle S. White, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience in behavioral health. I hold a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University Chicago and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University. Since becoming licensed in Illinois in 2009, I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate care, serving as one of the Clinical Directors at FACTS, since 2017. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults addressing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, OCD, relationship issues, identity development, family dynamics, academic struggles, substance use, and life transitions. I am passionate about family and couples therapy, helping clients build stronger relationships, improving communication, and developing a deeper understanding of themselves. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and mindfulness techniques. This allows me to tailor treatment to the unique needs of my clients, fostering meaningful and lasting change. In addition to my clinical work, I am committed to mentoring the next generation of psychologists. I provide supervision and training for psychology externs, interns, and post-doctoral residents, offering hands-on experience in evidence-based treatment approaches, professional development, and ethical decision-making. My clinical philosophy includes mindfulness and self-compassion, which is intended to increase self-awareness and healing. With empathy, I help my clients to focus on what they can control while developing acceptance around life’s uncertainties. By fostering insight, I guide individuals towards personal development and meaningful growth.
