I am a fourth-year Doctoral Extern in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University, concentrating on Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology. As a therapist, I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults. I have had prior experience working in community mental health, school-based, and other outpatient settings. When working with children, adolescents, and young adults, I emphasize the importance of creating a space that feels non-judgmental, authentic, and empowering, so that individuals can work toward their goals with safety and support. My therapeutic style is relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed, incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) for present-moment coping and skill development. I blend these with psychodynamic and humanistic approaches to foster deeper reflection on past experiences, patterns, and personal meaning, while respecting the client’s pace, values, and lived experience. Moreover, I like to integrate somatic and movement-based practices to help clients reconnect with their physical and emotional selves, regulate overwhelm, and develop a sense of resilience. I approach therapy as a space for liberation. I am committed to anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive care that honors how systemic forces intersect with mental health. When working with youth, I prioritize emotional safety, authenticity, and caregiver collaboration. I recognize the complexities of caregiving and aim to build bridges that support connection, trust, and mutual understanding, while centering the young person’s autonomy and voice. Above all, I strive to create a welcoming space where clients feel valued. I aim to meet everyone right where they are with genuine curiosity, heartfelt compassion, and unwavering authenticity.
